Who is having memories of Sly and his Stone Family?

The Rahulio is! The Rahulio he is remembering many of the nights oh so long ago, when the moon she gently was kissing all the young revelers and beautiful peoples, who were having a groove to the oh so funky hits of the Sly. Yes, the Sly he did tell us, “I am wanting to take you higher!” and we young people we all said, “Yes, the Sly, we wish to be elevated from the ground by your soulful music notes!” And this is what of course we did.

But then the Sly went away for hiding for a long time - he was becoming a, how you say, reckless. But the Sly is back, and he is again singing the simple songs!

He is humble when asked about his contributions to music and unapologetic when pressed about his reputation for missing gigs. And though he has been isolated, he says he’s been enjoying life.

“I do regular things a lot,” he says. “But it’s probably more of a Sly Stone life. It’s probably … it’s probably not very normal.”

The Sly they are saying will be releasing a new album. How exciting!

You are of course seeing a picture from the Sly’s performance at the 2006 Grammys.
