Taylor Swift has been taking a lot of criticism for her performance at this year’s Grammy Awards. The singer performed a duet with Stevie Nicks, starting off with "Rhiannon" before launching into "Love Story." Audiences have been critical of the pair for their off-key renditions of both hits earlier this week.
However, Swift’s record label shot back and defended the singer, claiming that "This is about a true artist and writer and communicator. It’s not about that technically perfect performance."
While we love Swift’s catchy pop tunes (and who would dare say a bad word about Ms Nicks?), we have to admit that her breathy performance left something to be desired.
We did, however, love how she looked on the red carpet. Swift paired her shimmering midnight blue dress with equally eye-catching jewelry that included breathtaking Lorraine Schwartz 12-carat diamond earrings and an equally stunning diamond bracelet.
The songstress left her neck bare, but a necklace would have been overkill with such a glitzy gown.
Of course, we have to wonder if the sparkling ring on her left hand was the friendship ring that Taylor Lautner was rumored to be purchasing for his former flame, but we guess we’ll have to be patient to find out.
