It seems that someone has finally managed to melt Simon Cowell’s cold, cold heart. The chronically cranky "American Idol" judge presented his girlfriend Mezhgan Hussainy with a giant diamond engagement ring on Valentine’s Day weekend.
Not only does he not despise his lady love – this may be proof that he actually seems to care for another human being!
The news source reports that Cowell is ready to tie the knot, and that he hopes to have children with his bride-to-be as well.
"I’m smitten with Mezhgan, I think she’s the one," the celebrity said in a TV interview. "You know when you’ve found somebody very special . . . I think I need to have little Simons around."
This from the man who once vowed never to marry!
Cowell popped the question to the beautiful brunette, who’s a makeup artist on American Idol, while the two were enjoying a romantic dinner out in London on Saturday night.
There are no details yet on the cut or color of the diamond engagement ring, but news sources report that it features a large, sparkling diamond.
