Sandra Bullock wore a royal purple gown to the Golden Globe Awards, and she complemented the richly-hued dress with some decadent diamonds.
The actress is famous for her love of simple black ensembles, so this vibrant pop of color is a little out of character. It also created a cheerful splash of color on such a rainy day. And we can’t think of any better way to create a show-stopping red carpet look than by pairing a bold gown with a slew of diamonds. Though the dress was modern, this whole combination was very vintage Hollywood.
Her gorgeous drop earrings, which were by Lorraine Schwartz , boasted an impressive 40-carats of grey diamonds. She paired the glittering jewels with a another 20-carats of bling on her fingers. The rings featured white and yellow diamonds, and were set in blackened gold.
To balance her look and presumably to show off her pretty neckline, the brunette beauty chose to forgo a necklace.
Of course, by the end of the night Bullock was sporting another golden accessory: one of the coveted statuettes for her performance in "The Blind Side."
