Paris HiltonYou’ve probably heard already, but Paris Hilton is going to jail. According to reports

A judge sentenced Paris Hilton to 45 days in jail Friday for violating her probation. Hilton, who parlayed her name and relentless partying into worldwide notoriety, must go to jail on June 5 and she will not be allowed any work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail, Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer ruled after a hearing. The judge ruled that she was in violation of the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

This whole Paris thing is sooooo stupid. Its only 45 days and she will never serve that many days anyways. The sentence is too light in my opion. What kind of message are we sending to the kids. That if you have money and are famous you are above the law and you can do what every you want. SHE IS GUILTY OF ALL CHARGES SHE NEEDS TO DO THE TIME MONEY/FAME ARE NOT. Take away all the money and all the fame and she is a normal person. If you have time to do the crime (drinking and driving, and violation of probation is a crime) you have time to do your time. Everyone knows that if her skin color was differnt no one would feel sorry for her famous or not. IF MARTHA CAN DO TIME SO CAN HILTON. What happens if she gets a lighter sentence and she is driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol and kills someone are you going to fell sorry for her or are you going to say that is was the other persons fault. For everyone that thinks she should get off and if she does and she kills someone you have know one to BLAME BUT YOURSELVES!!!!!!! She will never see another inmate because even on the inside she will get special treatment because of her name. You all know that would not work for you or I. They would say you do the crime you do the time best wishes and good luck.

This whole paris thing is sooo stupid. If she was not famous and didnt have millions she would be serving more than 45 days and would you still support her? she will never do that many days anyways. While in jail she will never enter act with the inmates because even on the in side she well get special treatment beacause of her name. For all of you who think she should not serve time. What kind of message are you sending to the younger generation that everything that their partens are telling them is not true about drinking and drive, and that you can violate your probation and nothing will happen to you. What are all of you going to do if she gets a lighter sentence and she is driving under the influence for drugs or alcoho and she kills someone are you then going to fell sorry for her or will you blame the other person. Because in that case of a normal person we would be looking at 20 to life. Well you all then support her at that point and want her to get a lighter sentence because of her name? FOR ALL THAT SUPPORT HER IF SHE KILLS SOMEONE YOU HAVE NO ONE THE BLAME BUT YOURSELVES!!! If Martha can do it Paris can to. For all how dont think she did a crime let me refresh your memory she was pulled over three times one for DUI ( driving under the influence) TWO driving with a suspended DL a violation of probation she should have gone to jail. THREE speeding and driving with no head lights. She had her three strikes its time for her to do the time. In the normal world and for normal people that is a 3 yr jail sentence so she is getting off ever lighter.

I agree with you, Im the mama, except on one thing; I don’t believe that if Paris’s skin color was different, people wouldn’t support her. If anything, people would probably feel MORE sorry for her if she was African American or Latin American, because then she wouldn’t just be the spoiled little rich girl – she’s be the poor little minority girl getting persecuted (Ouch – that sounds sarcastic. In truth, I’m not trying to belittle minorities who really are getting persecuted all of the time, including African Americans and Latin Americans – it IS a big problem). But I do agree, Paris should NOT get special treatment because she’s a celebrity. I once read an interview with her, and she stated that she always drives over the speed limit, but she never gets a ticket – the cops just usually ask for her autograph, especially if they’re young cops. Even then I was like “Oh, no! Stupid, stupid cops!”…and you see, here we are now. However, let’s not exaggerate – I can’t see Paris killing someone. For one thing, she’s probably one of those stupid girly girls who shriek at the top of their lungs if they see anything alive that isn’t either tame or human (or a plant) – far too squeamish to kill anyone :-)
