California Highway Patrol officers said a screening showed that she wasn’t under the influence of alcohol. They said Richie acknowledged having taken Vicodin and smoking pot. The officers said that Richie was alone in the SUV. In 2003, Richie pleaded guilty to heroin possession. The charges were dismissed after she completed the terms of her probation.
