Looks like the Newlyweds will soon be newly divorced. It’s probably not news to you, but Jessica Simpson filed for divorce from Nick Lachey in December of 2005. Well, Jessica is the real money maker in the family - they say she made over $30 million last year. Nick probably makes 98 cents from his former boy band 98 Degrees. So, Nick recently filed paperwork in order to reserve his right to seek spousal support.

It looks like they’re both holding up well now that they’re apart. Sometimes breaking up can be the best thing to do. I guess Nick should have had a clue though when Jessica was humming “these boots where made for walkin’ ” around the house.

Nick has also asked the court for “miscellaneous jewelry”. I wonder if it’s some family jewelry or if Jessica still has some of his diamond studs.
