The Kate Beckinsale, she looked so the hotness in her vintage Christian Dior dress which she wore to the Golden Globes. Shades of femme fatale, charming zee Germans at swank cocktail parties and then later plotting with la resistance to free her beloved France from the scourge of the Nazis! Nothing says “dramatic” more than a well put together vintage outfit. And the Kate, she has pulled it off with the spectacularity!

But it is the job of the Rahulio to deconstruct this outfit. This vintage dress, it is not the shmatas worn by my beloved Mother due to our extreme poverty in the old country. No. It is a beautiful piece of work, resurrected for its beauty and its dramaticalness.

One does not wear demure Jewelry when dressed in an outfit such as this. Drama demands drama and the Kate’s Jewelry collection, it is up to the challenge – witness the beautiful, but otherwise large ring worn by the Kate on her dainty left hand. The uncouth amongst us might say “Rahulio! It is so so big! I can’t take it!” but that would be unsophisticated because sometimes, the bigger is indeed, the better. Vive la France!

Luanna January 23, 2006 at 4:25 pm: I’m not a fan of Kate Beckinsale (although I don’t mind her and kind of liked her in Serendipity), but here she looks stunning -classic with just the right amount of unique mixed in. However; while I like the ring, I also notice that Kate is wearing two other lovely and eye-catching pieces of jewelry – namely, the dangle earrings and the big cuff. I understand why you might not want to post on the dangle earrings because (let’s face it) that’s been done a million times, but why nothing on the cuff? It’s an interesting piece, and quite honestly it caught my attention even before the ring did!!!
