Jessica Simpson took a lot of flak from the press when she appeared on stage at a chili cook-off looking curvier than usual, but the star recently revealed her slender new frame in a photo shoot with Allure magazine which will hit stands next month.
The singer looks slim and elegant in a midnight blue silk dress and a slew of colorful bangle bracelets in photographs. Her hair is swept back and the rest of her look is minimalist and simple. We love how the bright bracelets added a pop of fun and color to the pictures.
Inside the publication she discusses how difficult all of the negative talk about her figure was, and she lambasts the pressure that is put on women in the public eye to be thin, saying "[America's weight obsession] is disgusting. My job is to be creative. And I’m not weighing in for anybody."
While we have always thought that blonde bombshell was beautiful, we will gladly weigh in on her jewelry – the bracelets rock.
To emulate her chic new look, find a simple dress or opt for a monochromatic outfit and then pile on eye-catching bangles. Just remember to skip earrings and a necklace to keep the focus on your wrist wear.
