Carla Gugino is headed for the museum. She’s in negotiations to join the cast of the heavily discussed upcoming Ben Stiller comedy ‘A Night at the Museum’ for 20th Century Fox according to The Hollywood Reporter. With the film set to begin shooting next month, they’ll have to lock her in soon. No word on who Gugino would play, or even if it’s a major role, but the film casts Ben Stiller as a bumbling night security guard at a museum when an ancient curse gets let loose and brings the exhibits to life. Shawn Levy is directing the film, which will use a combination of live action and CGI.
Gugino’s last work in movies was as part of Robert Rodriguez ensemble noir ‘Sin City’. Since then she’s been starring on television in the series “Thresholdâ€.
