Republican or Democrat, black or white, politician or… other politician, two things are certain this November. Someone will be elected President, and his wife will love pearls. Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain have very different styles, but both have been dressing up their campaign trail looks white the careful deployment of pearls. Michelle Obama’s unique yet classy personal style have earned her praise and comparisons to Jackie O, the premiere First Lady style icon of recent history, and it’s not hard to see why.
Here, she uses layered strands of pearls with a faint color to create a look that’s attractive and individual without being overly showy. It’s an excellent and versatile choice of jewelry. You can have the same look without the campaign-trail stress with this cultured pink and white pearl necklace. This necklace is designed to be layered two, three, or four times, and is an excellent value at $125.

Kim Cattrall is sultry on the red carpet for the premier of the weekend’s biggest hit - the screen version of Sex and the City. This Vivienne Westwood strapless dress is perfect for this vixen. She looks sleek, stylish, and H-O-T!
Foregoing a necklace was a good choice for this dress. The elegant ribbon detailing in the bodice is enough. Plus it let’s Kim’s, um, natural assets take center stage.
Kim’s earrings are nice, but these 1 1/4 Carat Diamond and 9-10mm Tahitian Cultured Pearl Earrings in 14K White Gold would be perfect too. These earrings feature black Tahitian cultured pearls which are beloved for their rarity and for their dusky luminescence. The pearls are gracefully suspended from a sleek white gold setting studded with sparkling diamonds. This is a true Hollywood look!

Canadian Autumn Kelly, left, is seen arriving at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, England for her marriage to Peter Phillips, the eldest grandson of Queen Elizabeth II. Sister to the bridegroom, Zara Phillips, is seen on the right. Is it me or does she have a weird tan line? The private wedding took place in front of 300 guests including the Queen, Prince Philip and Prince Charles.
Now take another look at the bridesmaid in the lovely sage dress. I love that look for a wedding. The sage color is perfect for a spring or summer wedding. Look closely and you’ll see that the bridesmaids wore pearl earrings with their dresses. Pearl earrings are the perfect accent jewelry for weddings. Diamonds often seem like too much. However the soft femininity of pearls make them a wedding classic.
Get the same royal look with these Akoya cultured pearl earrings: 9-9.5mm. These earrings are on sale now for the amazing price of just $30 - half off the regular price! If you’re planning a wedding anytime in the near future, you should buy these earrings for bridesmaid gifts and save them for the appropriate time. In these earrings, two button-shaped freshwater pearls emit their unmistakable shimmer, unhampered by any other decoration. The pearls are fastened to traditional 14k gold posts. Simply perfect!

Peter Phillips, the eldest grandson of Queen Elizabeth II and Canadian Autumn Kelly leave St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, England, after their marriage ceremony earlier in May. Talk about high class!
Autumn looks lovely - like a princess! Now, I don’t think a tiara is appropriate so I am not going to even suggest one here! Although I think that every good, self-respecting girl NEEDS one! But on a more practical note, check out that lovely pendant that Autumn is wearing. It’s the perfect accessory to her wedding ensemble.

Getting this royal look is simple. For just $295 you can enjoy this 9-10mm Cultured Pearl and 1/3 Carat Diamond Pendant in 14K White Gold. Feminine elegance exudes from this graceful pendant. An intricate, design is beautifully rendered in gleaming white gold, studded with dazzling diamonds, and punctuated with a luminous drop-shaped cultured freshwater pearl. It’s a gorgeous look that is perfect for a wedding or any day!

I have mixed feelings about Cameron Diaz. The tabloid gossips tend to paint her as kind of shrewish and unpleasant, but she’s a very good comic actress - so much that I don’t really care if she’s unpleasant in her real life. The camera also loves her. She looks awful in some paparazzi shots, like everyone else, but give her a chance to put on her makeup and pose, and she blows the doors off it every single time. Look at her here. She’s got a great, classic star look, almost sort of a Janet Leigh thing, and it looks brilliant. This look is, of course, all pulled together by the pearls.
You can wear a fresh take on Cameron’s classic pearls with this freshwater pearl and Swarovski crystal necklace. Big, luminous freshwater pearls alternate with dainty, sky-blue Swarovski crystals, adding a delicate hint of color to the classic pearl necklace. Become a glamor girl today for just $45!

It’s sad news for Martha Stewart fans and animal lovers. Martha’s beloved dog Paw Paw passed away due to renal failure. I am sure Martha is a wreck on the inside. The Ice Queen is probably out schelping some cooking crap but crying on the inside…or wondering if Paw Paw’s death will impact her stock price. I wonder if it does if she’ll get arrested for insider trading again because she knew Paw Paw had kidneys. I am not making light of death or animals. I was a mess for weeks when my mom’s cat died this summer. It was awful. So don’t leave me mean comments, k!
Did you know that Paw Paw’s real name was Kublai Khan Paw Paw Chow Chow Chow (more names than Elizabeth Taylor!) and he was almost 13. So he had a nice long dog life.
When I think of Martha the first thing that comes to mind - well - is nuts! But of course Martha is the icon for casual elegance and style. The perfect jewel for Martha’s look is the pearl. It’s classic, elegant and flexible. You can look good in pearls no matter if you’re in the garden shed or in a board meeting. Pearls take extra care when cleaning them. Be sure to keep them clear of perfume and insect repellent too.
These 7-7.5 mm Akoya Cultured Pearl 14K Earrings are perrrrrrfect! They’re only $50. In the mall, you’d be hard pressed to find same quality and size pearl earring for under $100. Akoyas are considered the most lustrous of all the pearls, and these beautifully simple earrings showcase their unmistakable luster to perfection. Two cultured Akoyas are set on yellow gold posts to form timelessly classic pearl stud earrings.

And the only prescription is less Rachael Ray. She is everywhere. She is on TV, in magazines, on food packaging and in my dreams. I cannot leave the house without seeing her smiling at me, grinning at me, peeping coyly at me, confiding in me, conspiring with me, looking at me. I don’t dislike her, she’s just everywhere. She is on bottles of olive oil. I cannot make spaghetti without her being involved. She has about eight television shows, including “Rachael Ray reads Faulkner aloud.” If Big Brother were little and cute and from Puerto Rico and had a lot of handy kitchen tips, this would be “1984.” Which I could adjust to, I guess, if she didn’t wear necklaces like the one she has one here. U, g, l, y, it ain’t got no alibi. I think I see what she meant to do, but she missed. I would describe this necklace as “a chain with some things.” It clashes with her gold lame jacket (which she apparently stole from Grace Jones back the year I was born.)
Rachael could have gotten the same effect with this necklace. It’s a pearl necklace without being a Donna Reed single-strand thing, and the hanging drop pendant would work with Rachael’s neckline and accent her outfit without the Random Chain Action she has here. The gold and the pink pendant pearl add color without making it hard to match, and at only $65, she could pay it off with the sale of one toaster with her face on it.

I recently read that actress Kitty Carlisle Hart passed away at the ripe old age of 96. The pictures with the article really reminded me that we’re desperately missing classic glamor in Hollywood these days. Everything is just so trashy!
If you’re tired of all the over-the-top tackiness, these 9-10mm South Sea cultured pearl and 3/4 carat diamond earrings in 14K white gold are just the thing to set you out on the high road.
It doesn’t matter if you’re 96 or 26, these fabulous earrings are perfect for any age. Their timeless beauty will become a treasured part of your jewelry wardrobe!

Kelly Preston and John Travolta get a little wild on the red carpet at the Oscars. Kelly dons a (ok, I am just going to say it) ugly, trashy animal print dress. What is up with that?! Animal prints are so ewwwww. Ok, maybe for accessories a little animal print is ok and ironic even. But her dress makes her look like a hooker.
If you want to always appear classy and well dressed, then you need to wear an elegant pearl necklace. Of course, even a pearl necklace won’t help Kelly’s dress. She needs to take that thing out of her closet right now and burn it. I mean, she shouldn’t even wear it for Halloween or to a freakin’ Tupperware party! Out! This lovely Akoya cultured pearl necklace for just $250 is the perfect thing to add a classy touch to any outfit. Perfect for the office, weddings, religious occasions, or a picnic in the park, this necklace is very versatile…and did I mention classy?!

Britney Spears, according to reports, showed up with a shaved head to a California tattoo parlor last Friday night and got some new body “art” of red lips on her wrist. Girl has lost her mind and her hair! I don’t even know where to start this this one. I mean I guess that there was a nutz vacuum now that Anna Nicole isn’t with us anymore. Britney stepped up to keep us entertained with her antics. Seriously, it’s like watching hamsters have sex in the window of the pet store - except with less hair of course - VERY SCARY! I also heard that Britney doesn’t want people to touch her anymore! Pretty soon she’ll change her name to Michael Jackson. Maybe she is Michael Jackson!
Now that she has a shaved head, the only think she needs more than some sun screen for her noggin is beautiful earrings. I mean, some decent sized sparklies will look great with her buzz cut. These 7/8 carat diamond and 11mm golden South Sea pearl earrings in 18K tri-color gold are fabulous! At $3,795 they are an investment but compared to Rodeo Drive prices, they’re a total bargain. I am in love with the elegant design and high level of artistic craftspersonship in these earrings. They are romantic, classy - and well, just perfect!

Ghetto-fabulous diva Lil Kim vamps on the red carpet at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors. She shows us all that she didn’t loose her stuff (we can see it all) during her recent stint in the slammer.
This big house beauty is missing part of her dress. The bottom half looks great. The top part looks like her boobs are pushing out of her dress like that scene from Alien.
If there’s one thing that I’d pay to see, it would be Lil Kim in jeans and a t-shirt. I want to see a picture of her standing in line at the supermarket looking, um, normal - if that’s even possible.
To help Lil Kim’s glam-down, I’d like to suggest this pair of delicate, feminine, and sweet cultured Akoya pearl stud earrings in 14K white gold. They’re the perfect earrings to wear for every day because they’re appropriate for all occasions. These earrings are just $25 which make them a nice-priced jewelry gift for someone special or yourself. Pearl jewelry has the mark of class and sophistication. Let’s just say that’s something Lil Kim could use a little of too.

First it was Eva Longoria and now it’s aging fashion GOD, Yves Saint Laurent who took a fall recently in Paris. The reclusive, 70 year old designer slipped and fell. Emergency workers helped him at the scene and he was not treated at a hospital.
Yves Saint Laurent is a classic in fashion. His designs are honored as timeless and elegant. You can get a timeless and elegant look yourself with this pair of stunning 14K white gold diamond and freshwater pearl earrings. For just $115, this pair of earrings will be the perfect accessory to any special event from weddings to holiday parties. These earrings combine the right amount of size and sparkle to get noticed and yet remain very classy.

The Lindsay, the Lindsay, the Lindsay! How many times will the people have to be saying to you, “The Lindsay, you are so so lovely and so so talented and you should not be doing these things to yourself!” before you will be stopping to do these things to yourself? The people, they have been worrying about you and talking about you ever since you have grown up, saying “Are those boobs the real ones?” or “Is she doing the drinking when she is not the grown-up?” or “Is she the anorexic?” or “Is she doing the cocaina?” or “Is she wasting all her talent just to be kissing the drunk mens at the bars every night?”
Now the Rahulio he is hearing that you have been having fights with your mother and calling her the swear words and storming out during her birthday party at the fancy New York restaurant! The Lindsay, the Rahulio he is tired of this. You are acting like the child. He will not be rooting for you much longer if you are continuing to behave in this way!
Even the jewelry she is not so good. The red strings? Pleases! The letter belt buckle? No ma’ams! Although the Rahulio he will admits he is liking what are looking the pearl earrings…but you cannot be going wrong with the pearl earrings. But you, the Lindsay, you have been going very wrong!

Lots of people have been giving Will and Grace star Debra Messing great reviews on her Emmy outfit. I am not that in love with it. The whole ruffle thing reminds me of some kind of curtain or caterpillar cocoon. See the way the first top ruffle sits high and then makes a weird smiley scoop before the second ruffle. The way the ruffles puff out there and make horizontal lines isn’t doing anything for me or Debra either. Her hair and make up are good. I like the big gold bangles she picked out too.
Her dress is begging for a necklace. She could have picked form so many different styles - pearls, diamonds, opals. With her white dress as a canvas, so many things were available. Alas, she decided to be boring in a white sleeping bag with a train.
Nothing is more glamorous than diamonds. They are perfect for every occasion. This 5 carat diamond necklace in 14K white gold is a way for you to get true Hollywood sparkle in your own jewelry box. Debra would have done well to wear something like it on her trip down the red carpet. This is a classic piece that will never go out of style. It’s 5 carats of diamonds are a force of nature and make a dramatic statement.
A more budget friendly option for those of us who have starring roles in the boardroom, kitchen, and PTA is this lovely cultured freshwater rice pearl and diamond necklace in 14K white gold for just $95. I’ve been showing you how so many stars have been wearing pearls lately. They really never go out of style. This necklace is versatile but will look smashing with all of our white outfits - from suits to gowns.

I am not a huge Britney fashion fan. I mean, sometimes she leaves her house looking like she’s been shoveling poo in a barn down on the farm. However, she’s cleans up really well. Some of her music gets on my nerves, but I have to admit that when I hear “I’m a slave for you” it makes me want to dance and get nasty! Yikes!
I feel like I have been going on about pearls a lot lately. Well, that’s because they are just so classic and perfect for any occasion - and the biggest stars are wearing them! Pearls add a touch of elegance to every outfit and, well, Britney needs a lot of help in the elegance department! Britney is wearing a beautiful black pearl pendant with diamond accents.
The perfect way to get Britney’s look is with this 7-7.5mm Akoya cultured black pearl with diamond accents for just $150. The large pearl in this pendant is crowned with three beautiful diamonds complement the elegant luster of the pearl. The classic polished white gold setting is versatile and enables you to mix and match this piece with other white gold and silver jewelry.
To complete the look, you need these matching diamond and black cultured pearl earrings. These elegant pearl studs mirror the design of the pendant and make for beautiful matching set. The great thing about jewelry sets is that it saves you time when planing your outfit. These earrings are also a perfect way to accessorize a “going out” ensemble - adding a touch of class to your Friday night for just $195.
