Jane Krakowski (you remember her from Ally McBeal) was spotted on the red carpet recently wearing a tight fitting blue dress - Monica watch out! Thank goodness Jane’s isn’t from the Gap. Anyway, she looks great. She accented the how-low-can-you-go neckline with a long yellow gold necklace with small circles for accents.
You can get a very similar look with this exquisite 14K Yellow Gold Turkish Glass Bead Necklace. For just $595, this necklace offers amazing versatility. Lovely and colorful Turkish glass beads animate this cheerful, contemporary gold necklace. The colorful beads will allow you to mix and match this piece with anything in your closet and in your jewelry collection. It is crafted with warm 14K yellow gold - forever a classic. Depending on your outfit, this accessory can be worn for day or evening.

I may just run through all the Sex and the City ladies this week. Of the actresses on that show, Kim Cattrall is the one I’d most like to just hang out with. She’s older than the usual sex symbol, and she doesn’t come close to caring, and she pulls it off. She knows she’s sexy, and she’s sexy because she knows it. (And probably because she’s had work done, but hey! It was good work.) She manages to take a cliched sitcom character - “slut” - and turn in a realistic, nuanced performance without sacrificing laughs.
That said, all that said, what is this necklace? It would be fine in another context - not on everyone, but Cattrall has her own brand of tasteful over-the-top - but there’s no reason to wear it with this top. The fringe hits right below the neckline. That’s… weird. It’s gotten tucked into her undercleavage.
If she wanted a fun look, she should have gone with something like this triple strand glass and sterling silver bead necklace. It’s unusual and vivacious without causing neckline problems. And at $95, she could have easily covered it with ten seconds of Sex and the City screen time!

If you’re going to wear basic black, you’ve gotta do it right - just like Jennifer Garner. She hit the red carpet recently dripping in 1920s diamonds and wearing a beautifully detailed Oscar de la Renta gown. The big braclests are a little much (I can’t believe I am saying that!) but what the heck?! It’s Hollywood, baby!
The kind of bling that Jennifer is wearing doesn’t come cheap. Diamonds are precious for a reason - not just anyone can afford them. If you’re going to go all out, the way to do it is with this 9 5/8 Carat Diamond 18K White Gold Necklace. Hands down, this is one of the most amazing pieces of jewelry I’ve ever seen. If you can afford it, you must buy it. Graceful lines and stunning craftsmanship make this exquisite necklace a true masterpiece.
A spectacular stylized design is gorgeously rendered in white gold and studded with a galaxy of fiery diamonds. It’s yours for just $15,995!

Say what you will about Katie Holmes - for example, that she’s married to an (alleged) homosexual who (rumor has it) can no longer act his way out of a wet sack, has an (according to some sources) extraterrestrial baby, that she is (said to be) the reluctant high priestess of a (by some accounts) wacky space religion that (may or may not) be plotting to control the world and (some would claim) sell us all into space slavery - she is and always has been beautiful. From her early days on Dawson’s creek to her current career hat trick of wife, mother, and eighteenth avatar of the dreaded star witch k’d'f’tang, I can’t remember ever seeing a picture of her and not being struck by how pretty and stylish she is. Even when she does something, fashion-wise, that I don’t like, I always could see what she meant. It’s the fashion equivalent of showing your work on a math test, and I always have to give her partial credit.
For example.
Here, she’s wearing a ruffled blouse, in a heavy fabric, with that weird gathered thing at the top of her sleeve. She is saved by three things: she looks great in black; her hairstyle suits her, which covers many sins; and she has accessorized well. Here, she wears a simple necklace with some color variation in the beads, which saves this outfit from Mrs. Teawater’s Home for Maiden Ladies. You can class up or de-matron a black outfit with this multi-gemstone blue topaz, citrine, and garnet white gold drop necklace. Dainty gems shine out of stylish drop settings and briolettes, creating subtle but distinctive color accents that add fun and femininity to a day or evening look. Yours today for only $229 - reduced from $250!

So, it seems Jessica Simpson was hospitalized for a kidney infection last weekend? Did we see this? I feel guilty for saying this… but do you believe it? “Kidney infection” sounds like one of those vague non-illnesses that get used as a non-threatening cover for something else, like “dehydration,” “exhaustion,” or “gas gangrene.” Do people usually go to the hospital for what was described as a “minor” kidney infection, or am I too suspicious? I guess we’ll see over the coming weeks - if she shaves her head and runs over a photographer (let’s just say for example) I’ll have the hollow victory of knowing I called it, maybe.
Anyway, here she is in happier, less IV-laden times, wearing a beautiful sapphire necklace. (I cropped the sparkly stretch pleather dress out of the picture.) You can copy her look without the stinging pain with this stylish sapphire, diamond, and white gold necklace. Three deep blue sapphires shine out of a restrained setting that lets the stones do the talking. A great evening piece, and yours for only $195.

While we’re on the subject of Spanish-speaking women whose bosoms have received a lot of coverage from the media, if not from fabric, what happened to Salma Hayek? Is she just working on Boring Ugly Betty? She was just making movies right and left for a while, and now she’s nowhere to be seen, almost. Am I just missing her, or is she in rehab or something and I didn’t get the memo? Anyway, she looks cute here. The shirt is a little tame, but her pendant (and overall beauty) save it from being matronly. Because the rest of her look is simple, she can afford a large, multicolored pendant without looking over the top.
If you’re looking for an accessory to bring an outfit from “simple” to “stylish,” I suggest this multi-gemstone white gold heart pendant. A glimmering heart is constructed from rhodolite, citrine, blue and white topaz, and amethyst. This is the perfect piece to add some flair to an otherwise simple outfit, and the heart design has been more and more in fashion recently. Liven up your jewelry box with it today for just $495.

OhmyGod, OhmyGod, OhmyGod, OhmyGod. I am so excited. OhmyGod. So, okay. Apparently the absolute top show in Colombia right now is called Sin Tetas, No Hay Paraiso, which is apparently Spanish for “Without Breasts, There Is No Paradise.” Really. And. so. OhmyGod. NBC bought the American rights! They are making not one, but two versions of it, one in English and one in Spanish. I have never been more excited about a TV show, ever. This lady here is the lovely MarĂa Adelaida Puerta, star of the Colombian version. Why she was cast I’m not sure, as it’s quite clear, if you run her through Google image search, that she has, er, a claim to paradise. Anyway, I managed, eventually, to find a picture of her with both a shirt and some fun jewelry on. (The jewelry part was way easier than the shirt.)
Anyway, the necklace she’s wearing here is a good choice. It’s flashy, but apparently matches her earrings (although you can’t see them super-well in this picture) and, most importantly, looks good on her. The somewhat triangular shape is a classic one, and always a good look with a low neckline. This diamond and white gold necklace will give you a slightly more understated version of the same look. Twenty-six small diamonds shine out of an unusual, freeform geometric setting. An excellent look for the evening - I’d pair it with an LBD - when you want to stand out without shouting about it. Get it today for just $295.

British actress Julie Christie stepped out on the red carpet wearing WHAT???? What are those things are her hands and arms?! I think she was trying for a twist on evening gloves but it just looks like her hands got stuck trying to turn her pantyhose inside out! Why do they go so high up on her arms? It looks like she’s ready to do product testing for OFF or some other kind of bug repellent. Maybe she was ready for a stint on Survivor. Her shoes - awful too! UGH!
Whatever the case with her gloves, I do love the color of her dress. She got caught up in this year’s color sensation - RED! And good for her! I mean, be bold with color, ladies! Her jewelry IS fun but isn’t the right color or design for this dress. So all it all, this outfit is all and all a complete bomb. I mean it’s like she went through her closet and picked out the most random pieces she could find. Or maybe they lost her luggage and all the shops were closed. Maybe she’s blind. Maybe she was high. Who knows?!?!?
If you’re looking for something red and classy try this Sterling Silver Two-Tone Red Agate Necklace for just $125. The unmistakable luster of cool sterling silver is on gorgeous display in this festive necklace. Red 12mm to 16mm agate beads are gracefully suspended from delicate silver chain. It’s a great look for daily wear but would be good for more festive occasions as well.

Hey, y’all. Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I had to go back to Louisiana for a few weeks. Brit-Brit’s momma needed someone to watch the cats while she tried to iron out her daughter. (Good luck.) Anyway, I get back, and what do I learn?
Pete Doherty has converted to Scientology. Oof.
Seriously, was he not enough of a mess? I have never seen a picture of him where he didn’t look just greasy to the touch. Now he’s going to use science to worship aliens? Really? I don’t understand the world anymore. I thought they were all anti-drug and anti-Tylenol and anti-fun. What is he gonna do?
This reminds me of the old conversation my friends and I used to have. In a parallel world, where Pete Doherty is sober, could he be attractive? It can’t happen on our planet, I know, but sometimes I like to look at a picture of him and wonder. Like this one. See? He’s standing. His skin has had some oil scraped off. Village People hat notwithstanding, couldn’t you see it? Maybe? If he were a little less English?
Anyway, his (top) necklace looks nice. I don’t know what’s up with that lower pendant - it looks like a failed knot-tying badge - but the silver chain necklace with the low/open collar is a classic look and a great way to combine classy with casual. It’s jewelry without looking like The Decorated Man. You can achieve this look without heroin with this 22-inch sterling silver figaro chain. It’s a simple, stylish look that you can dress up or down, and a great gift - even for yourself! - at $75.

Aussie Nicole Kidman sparkled on the red carpet recently absolutely dripping in diamonds!!! Check out those baubles!!! Of course Nicole’s are probably all borrowed for the special occasion. I wouldn’t be surprised if a bodyguard is following her around and just happened to get cropped out of the photo!
If you’re like me, you want to get a lot of bling for your buck! I just love, love, love this 1/3 Carat Diamond 14K White Gold Necklace. It packs a punch - but not in your pocketbook. This organic and free-form design of cool gleaming white gold is enlivened with dazzling diamonds, recalling the dreaminess of a bygone era while remaining as modern and stylish! Girlz, it’s hot and only $295!

Stacy London, star of television’s “What Not to Wear”, turns herself out in a fabulous chocolaty brown gown. It’s tres elegant but kind of reminds me of a night gown - sorry Stacy! She does look great in it though. It’s high waisted so that diminishes her hips and accents her narrow waist. The dramatic corset plays up her, um, upper half. Stacy completes the look with a lovely pendant.
If you love brown like Stacy, you must get this 1/2 carat chocolate and white diamond 14K white gold pendant! For just $395, this beautiful diamond pendant can be yours. With ladylike charm and vintage appeal, this pendant features a stunning chocolate (brown) diamond and complementary white diamonds. This exquisite and unique piece hangs from a pretty white gold chain.

So, haha, Bai Ling apparently shoplifted some things from an airport store? Did I even read that right? She is not even famous enough to pull a Winona. And it was apparently batteries that she stole. Batteries. For her travel curling iron? Her Discman? Her Roomba? I looked this chick up on Wikipedia, and apparently she’s 37 and actually from China. Like, her parents were involved in the Cultural Revolution in some way. How embarrassing. Anyway, I have here a pic of Bai-curious from a happier time. Her wig is a little aggressive, but she’s wearing what appears to be a nice dress - I like the part I can see, at least - and has accessorized it well. She’s chosen a cocktail ring and a necklace, which give her room to be moderately playful with each. The cocktail ring is fun and works well with her dress, while the necklace provides a nice finishing touch. She wouldn’t really seem “dressed” without the necklace and it really pulls her look together.
You can get this same effect sans arrest and unflattering Playboy spread with this circle and oval drop link necklace. The varying sizes and shapes of the decorative sterling silver links are hip and unusual without being “wacky.” This is a stylish piece to wear with a low neckline, and a steal (GET IT?) at $175.

And the only prescription is less Rachael Ray. She is everywhere. She is on TV, in magazines, on food packaging and in my dreams. I cannot leave the house without seeing her smiling at me, grinning at me, peeping coyly at me, confiding in me, conspiring with me, looking at me. I don’t dislike her, she’s just everywhere. She is on bottles of olive oil. I cannot make spaghetti without her being involved. She has about eight television shows, including “Rachael Ray reads Faulkner aloud.” If Big Brother were little and cute and from Puerto Rico and had a lot of handy kitchen tips, this would be “1984.” Which I could adjust to, I guess, if she didn’t wear necklaces like the one she has one here. U, g, l, y, it ain’t got no alibi. I think I see what she meant to do, but she missed. I would describe this necklace as “a chain with some things.” It clashes with her gold lame jacket (which she apparently stole from Grace Jones back the year I was born.)
Rachael could have gotten the same effect with this necklace. It’s a pearl necklace without being a Donna Reed single-strand thing, and the hanging drop pendant would work with Rachael’s neckline and accent her outfit without the Random Chain Action she has here. The gold and the pink pendant pearl add color without making it hard to match, and at only $65, she could pay it off with the sale of one toaster with her face on it.

Lindsay Lohan recently stepped out looking lovely in lots of links. She created a look by wearing several delicate chains of various lengths - from a charm length chain to longer “opera” lengths. It’s a great hip look that you can create with jewelry that you already have in your collection.
If you’re looking for something special to set you apart as you create the perfect night out, you’ve gotta try this 3/8 carat diamond flower motif necklace in 14K white gold. It’s delicate just like what Lindsay is wearing while adding needed sparkle with those dazzling diamonds! It’s a total bargain too at just $450! This flower-themed spectacular station necklace showcases the classic combination of white gold and diamonds to beautiful effect. You can mix and match with this necklace easily like Lindsay or wear it alone for a look that is well suited for the office.
Now if you’re looking for Lindsay’s earrings - check these out!

Jaime Pressly looked great in her sparkly black gown at the Emmy’s this year. I think that her face is a little weird in this picture but she’s still super cute. This shot makes me want to say, “Jaime, what big eyes you have!” Anyway, the black beads on her dress jogged my mind and I remembered where I saw a great black beaded necklace.
Check out this fabuLESS sterling silver black onyx bead drop necklace. For just 75 smackeroos you can get this beauty featuring hundreds of tiny onyx beads that appear in a gracefully cascading design. Expert crafting in lustrous sterling silver lends this piece a feeling of movement and intrigue. It is great for a night out or evening wear. It’s perfect for office parties where you have to be conservative but festive.

Back in August, Priscilla Presley appeared on CNN to talk about what’s new now that “the king” has been dead for 30 years. Guess what?! Elvis is still dead. But more miraculous than that is Priscilla’s face. With all that work, she’s heading into Michael Jackson territory! Slow down, girl! Seriously - take a good look and guess how out she is. Give up? She’s 62!
In classic rock and roll style though, Priscilla appeared on CNN wearing a cross pendant studded with blue gems. You can get the same style without the “kingly” price tag with this sterling silver cross pendant with Swarovski cryatals in black, grey and white. I think that this color combination is more rock and roll than Priscilla’s blue - and it goes with more outfits too! This cross pendant won’t make you lose your religion either; it’s only $55!

Spiderman 3 star, Elizabeth Banks, walks the red carpet in purple perfection. She is donning a strapless dress with a super cut tied waist. Somehow it looks a little too small up top though, no?!
Poor girl is missing out though on all the fabulous fun she could be having with purple accessories. I mean, what’s the point of being a movie star if you can’t look like one?! Hello!
This 6 1/6 carat lavender jade and amethyst pendant in sterling silver is a beautiful piece for people that love purple - and who doesn’t?! It’s got an amazing price too of just $95! This piece makes for a stunning look. A gleaming, polished cabochon of exquisite lavender jade is haloed with sparkling amethysts in beautifully crafted setting of lustrous sterling silver on a delicate chain.

Adrianna Costa may know films and reality television, but she also knows a thing or two about fashion - or at least her stylist does! I love this shiny baby blue dress. It almost has this baby doll look to it that makes it fresh and sexy. It’s a surprise combo that definitely turns heads.
This outfit begs to be paired with silver or white gold. For a little extra sparkle you’ve gotta try this hot 3 3/8 carat blue topaz and diamond pendant in 14K white gold. At just $175, the large, cushion cut blue topaz is set on the diagonal amid haloes of sparkling diamonds in exquisitely crafted white gold settings.
