It’s official! Though there were plenty of rumors circulating about Carrie Underwood and her boyfriend, the Ottawa Senators player Mike Fisher, the couple announced yesterday that they are indeed planning on tying the knot.
And the singer hasn’t been shy about letting the paparazzi catch a glimpse of her gorgeous new diamond engagement ring – not that we blame her. The stunning round yellow diamond is reported to be an enviable 5-carats.
Not too shabby, Fisher! It seems that the hockey player is familiar with both kinds of ice. According to StyleList.com, the hockey player probably spent a cool $150,000 on the flashy bauble.
We love the ring. It’s perfectly suited to Underwood, who seems to like flashy clothing. The star wore a flashy gold dress to the American Music Awards last month.
It’s too bad that Mike didn’t propose a little sooner, because the sparkling yellow diamond would have gone perfectly with the country crooner’s ensemble – not that she was hurting for bling. Underwood paired shimmering drop earrings and bangle bracelets with a large diamond ring for her walk down the red carpet at the awards show.
