Sparkle Like The Stars

Recently David Blaine spent seven wrinkly days and nights in a water filled acrylic ball. Gawkers were able to approach him and check out the trickster up close. The highlight of this stunt was to be a world-record breaking event. David’s goal was to hold his breath for nine minutes. Well, he only made it to seven minutes and eight seconds. David suffered all kinds of injuries from his time in the water and a day after he left the bubble it was not yet known if he suffered permanent nerve damage. Let’s clear that one up right now. Yes, he has nerve damage - like in his brain! I mean, what kind of attention-starved freak puts themselves in a bubble for a week? This whole breath-holding challenge reminds me of when I was a kid. In the summer at the pool my brother and I would have breath holding contests. My mom would roll her eyes and then time us on her watch. We grew out of this childish phase and went on to get lives. Apparently David Blaine hasn’t.

The best part of this whole dumb thing was that we got to see David shirtless. He’s not that hard on the eyes, if you know what I mean.
